As a therapist, I seek to create safe spaces that are welcoming and stable for clients experiencing distress from past or present events. Having experienced several significant losses in my own life helped me realize a deep sensitivity for the pain that people carry. As a result, it is imperative to me not to ask my clients to go somewhere I am not willing to go myself. Just as our nervous system has created ways to adapt and survive, I believe that through exploration we can find healing in the deepest parts of ourselves.
Along with my formal education, I am a fully trained EMDR therapist and continuing to work in the field of embodiment and somatic work. With a background in painting and expressive arts work, I utilize creative strategies to welcome openness and awareness into the therapeutic relationship.
I am committed to advocate and create space for those to seek to be empowered and free from shame. We are many parts of a whole self, and it is important to honor perseverance, respect the path of resiliency, and be a part of the healing process.
This process is the space where curiosity meets belonging.
